PomoPlan has no advertising SDKs, does not use third-party analytics, and does not require a PomoPlan account. Focus data is stored on your devices and, if iCloud sync is enabled, through Apple in your private iCloud database.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to the PomoPlan applications for iPhone and Apple Watch, PomoPlan widgets and complications, and the website at pomoplan.io (together, the “Services”).
“PomoPlan,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the independent publisher of PomoPlan. If you have a privacy question, contact support@pomoplan.io.
PomoPlan is designed to work without creating a PomoPlan account. We do not sell personal data, use it for targeted advertising, or operate an advertising or behavioral-analytics backend.
2. Data PomoPlan handles
The app handles information you enter and information needed to run the focus system. The exact data depends on which features you use.

PomoPlan does not request your contacts, location, photos, camera, or microphone for its core focus features.
3. Where data is stored and synchronized
On your devices
App data is stored locally on your iPhone. A limited current-timer snapshot and settings may be stored in an Apple App Group so the PomoPlan app, widgets, and extensions on that device can show the same state.
Between iPhone and Apple Watch
PomoPlan uses Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework to send relevant timer state, tasks, settings, and session updates between your paired devices. This communication is provided and secured by Apple’s operating systems.
iCloud sync
If iCloud sync is enabled and available, supported PomoPlan data is synchronized using Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services. PomoPlan uses the user’s private CloudKit database. Apple states that, by default, only the user can access this database, the user owns its contents, and its data is not visible in the developer portal. iCloud storage and processing are governed by your Apple Account settings and Apple’s terms.

4. Apple permissions and system services
PomoPlan asks for access only when a related feature needs it. You can decline or later change permissions in Apple’s Settings app.
- Notifications: used for focus and break completion alerts, reminders, sound, and Time Sensitive presentation when you enable them. Apple controls final delivery, Focus mode behavior, and whether an alert appears on iPhone or Apple Watch.
- Family Controls / Screen Time: used only if you enable Focus Guard and choose apps or categories to shield during a focus session. PomoPlan does not send those selections to its own server.
- iCloud: used to synchronize supported app data through your Apple Account when enabled.
- WatchConnectivity: used to synchronize supported state with your paired Apple Watch.
- Live Activities and widgets: used to display current timer information outside the main app.
Apple may process device, permission, notification, iCloud, App Store, and diagnostic information under Apple’s own policies. PomoPlan does not control Apple’s independent processing.
5. Website and support email
Website
The PomoPlan website is a static website. It does not include a PomoPlan analytics script, advertising pixels, a contact form, or marketing cookies. We do not build a visitor profile from your use of the site.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and delivered through Fastly’s content delivery network. Like most internet infrastructure providers, GitHub and Fastly may process request and security metadata—such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, browser or device information, and threat signals—to deliver and protect the site. Support email
If you email support, we receive the address you use, your message, and any attachments or technical details you include. We use that information to answer your request, investigate an issue, maintain support records, and protect the Services. Your email provider and our email provider also process that communication under their own terms.
6. Retention and deletion
- App data: remains on your devices and, when enabled, in iCloud until you edit or delete it, clear app data, or Apple removes it under your account or service settings.
- Cleared-data recovery: when you use PomoPlan’s clear-data control, the app first creates an on-device recovery backup. That backup is automatically eligible for removal after 30 days and is not uploaded to a PomoPlan server.
- Support email: may be retained as long as reasonably needed to respond, document a recurring issue, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes, then deleted when no longer needed.
- Hosting logs: are retained by GitHub and Fastly according to their service configurations and privacy policies.
You can delete sessions and queued tasks in the app and use the data controls in Settings. Because iCloud is an Apple service, deletion or synchronization may require a connection and can take time to propagate across devices.
7. Your choices and rights
You can choose whether to enable notifications, Time Sensitive alerts, Focus Guard, iCloud, and related Apple system features. You can also edit or delete app content through PomoPlan’s controls.
Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights to ask about, access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information we control. Because most PomoPlan app data is held locally or in your private Apple account rather than on a PomoPlan server, the fastest way to exercise control is normally through the app and Apple’s device or iCloud settings. You may still contact us for help.
We will not discriminate against you for making a valid privacy request. We may need enough information to understand the request and verify that we are responding to the right person.
8. Children’s privacy
PomoPlan is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law to consent to online services. We do not knowingly operate a system for collecting children’s personal information. If you believe a child sent personal information through support email, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
9. Security
PomoPlan reduces exposure by keeping the core experience local and using Apple’s platform services for device communication and private iCloud synchronization. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your devices and Apple Account protected and updated.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when PomoPlan’s features, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top will be revised. If a change is material, we will provide notice in a reasonable place, such as the app, this website, or the App Store listing.
