My iPhone and Apple Watch timers are not in sync.+
PomoPlan sends timer changes through Apple’s WatchConnectivity system. Start with these checks:
- Confirm the PomoPlan Watch app is installed from the Watch app on iPhone.
- Keep Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled on both devices.
- Open PomoPlan once on both devices, then leave them near each other for a moment.
- Make sure both devices are running the latest PomoPlan build available to you.
If one device still shows an older session, email support with the exact sequence of taps and which device started the session.
A session ended, but I did not hear the alert during Do Not Disturb.+
First allow notifications and Time Sensitive alerts for PomoPlan. Apple also requires a manual Focus allow-list step for reliable sound during Do Not Disturb:
- Open Settings → Focus → Do Not Disturb → Apps.
- Under Allow Notifications From, add PomoPlan.
- Check that your device is not muted and that notification sounds are enabled.
Apple decides whether an iPhone notification is presented on iPhone or forwarded to Apple Watch based on device state and notification settings.
The Watch widget or complication looks stale.+
WidgetKit controls the final refresh schedule, so a complication can occasionally trail the app’s internal timer. Open the PomoPlan Watch app once, return to the watch face, and confirm the Watch app itself has the current session.
If the app is correct but the widget remains stale, remove and add the complication again. Include the watch face name in a support email because different faces can schedule updates differently.
How do I enable or change Focus Guard app blocking?+
Open PomoPlan’s Settings, enable the distraction guard, and choose Apps to block. iOS will ask for Screen Time authorization before PomoPlan can shield your selections during focus.
You remain in control: change the selection or turn the guard off from Settings. PomoPlan uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks for this feature.
How does iCloud sync work?+
When iCloud is available, PomoPlan keeps supported timer history, topics, tasks, and settings current through your private iCloud database. Use the same Apple Account on your devices and make sure iCloud Drive is enabled.
PomoPlan continues to work locally if iCloud is unavailable; changes will sync again when Apple’s service and your connection are available.
Can I use PomoPlan without iCloud or an Apple Watch?+
Yes. The complete timer, task queue, history, focus score, companion, and optional Focus Guard experience works on iPhone. Apple Watch and iCloud add convenience but are not required for the core timer.
What is a casual session?+
A casual session is not scored. Use it when you want the structure of a timer without focus-score pressure. The chosen topic and task can still help you understand where your time went.
How do I remove my PomoPlan data?+
Use the data controls in PomoPlan Settings to clear your sessions and related app data. PomoPlan may keep a temporary local recovery backup for up to 30 days so an accidental clear can be restored; use the permanent-delete option when available if you do not want that recovery window.
